Jang Hyun Sung is the only Korean actor nominated for Best Acting Performance Male at the 20th Milan International Film Festival (MIFF Awards 2020), scheduled to be held on December 2. My Son depicts the conflicts between the father, who devoted his life to his son, and the son, a disabled 17-year-old son Joe who started a late puberty. Jang Hyun Sung took the center of play with his soft charisma as Jang Min Seok, an adolescent father in his 40s who is having a hard time balancing out his family and his love life. Jang Hyun-sung, who played JakeŌĆÖs role in the original play Kill Me Now last year, has joined the movie after falling in love with the cinematic quality and successfully presented a different tone from the play. My Son is a film adaptation of Canadian playwright Brad FraserŌĆÖs play Kill Me Now.
