On the 20th, BTS appeared as a speaker on behalf of future generations at the Sustainable Development Goals Moment (SCG Moment). This is the third time that the group spoke at the UN, following 2018 and 202. Standing on the podium, the seven members spoke in Korean. Prior to attending the UN General Assembly, BTS collected the story of future generations by asking, ŌĆ£What were the past 2 yrs like for you, and whatŌĆÖs your world like today?ŌĆØ Introducing photos and texts delivered to them via social media, the act raised their voice for the future generation. Jin said, ŌĆ£Therefore, I think that instead of the ŌĆślost generation,ŌĆÖ the ŌĆśwelcome generationŌĆÖ is a more appropriate name. Instead of being afraid of change, this generation says ŌĆśwelcomeŌĆÖ as they walk forward into the future.ŌĆØ RM added, ŌĆ£If we continue to believe in possibility and hope, we will not lose our way but discover new ones.ŌĆØ RM concluded, ŌĆ£We thought that the world had stopped, but it continues to move forward. I believe that each choice is the beginning of change, not the end. I hope that in this new world, we can all say to each other, ŌĆśWelcome.‘ŌĆØ Following their speech, BTS shared a video performance of the group performing ŌĆ£Permission to DanceŌĆØ at the UN General Assembly. Nearing the end, dancers joined the members and danced the choreography that uses sign language meaning fun, dance, and peace.
