On January 3, BTSŌĆÖs Jimin posted a short comment on Weverse. He wrote ŌĆ£#SorryJunginŌĆØ in white on the black background, taking part in the ongoing challenge. Anyone can join this challenge by writing a message to Jungin and taking a ŌĆ£proof pictureŌĆØ of it. This movement started to pay tribute to Jungin, whose wrongful death was reported by the SBS program Unanswered Questions. Jungin was adopted by foster parents when she was only 7 months old, and this was the start of her nightmare. The girl was abused severely since then and died in an emergency room on October 13 last year as a 16-month-old baby. At the time of her death, her intestines were ruptured, and there were also signs of broken ribs. The entertainment industry is also taking a big part in the challenge. Besides Jimin, Uhm Jung Hwa, Han Hye Jin, Lee Yoon Ji, Lee Min Jung, Kim Won Hyo, Kim Sang Joong, Ryu Hyun Jin, Seo Hyo Rim, Han Chae Ah and more also posted their messages to Jungin. Meanwhile, the foster mother, identified only by her surname Jang, was sent to prison in November on charges of child abuse and child neglect. The foster father, identified by his surname Ahn, was charged by the prosecution without detention. Source (1)
